according to "ViaCAD Tips, Tutorials, and Techniques", spline points can be "manipulated" with the gripper.

how is the gripper moved to the vertex of interest in an existing spline and the vertex of interest explicitly selected??

how are additional vertex "inserted" into an existing spline?? and just in case, deleted?

Box select the vertex. Use the Edit : Show Points to display the vertices.

From the Spline tool palette, use the Add Spline Point and Remove Spline Point tools.
