Hi,

I recently bought Viacad 2D for doing simple 2D construction drawings, and it seems to fit very well to my needs.

However, there's one function that's driving me completely bonkers, and that's the scroll zoom.

I have an Apple Magic Mouse, where the surface of the mouse works as a scroll pad (i.e. it will sense swipes in any direction, and also multi-finger gestures), and just using the mouse to move around and clicking on something will frequently trigger the zoom function.

When doing basic stuff, like making a quick sketch of a speaker enclosure, the canvas will zoom and pan, so suddenly the entire drawing is 20 pixels tall, or disappears off screen.

Is there a way of disabling the scroll zoom, or require that you hold down the shift key or something? There is a function in the preferences, where you can reverse the zoom direction, but not for turning it off.

We have a Reverse Mouse Wheel Zoom option but nothing to turn it off. I've added this suggestion to our enhancement list.

I get this in other applications too, in particular Neo Office. In Mavericks, and earlier, you used to be able to stop this behaviour by turning off the mouse inertia, but that was universal i.e. I lost the inertia in the finder and other apps. I found a discussion about this on Github if that is any help.

A friend of mine mentioned the same problem with the Magic Mouse and another CAD software.

I think this is a prime example of Apple being a bit too innovative for their own good. A good idea carried a bit too far..

Thank you, anyways, Tim. For the moment, I'll find another mouse or drag out my ancient Wacom...
