There may be a way to do this. I know that in Rhino you have more control of transparency.

Hi Boomer, go to the View menu and select Shade Options near the bottom of the menu, you will see the slider under the Opacity field, the level of transparency can be adjusted through that function. It will adjust the level of transparency of all objects that have transparency applied to them.
