I have been with this app since the days of Concepts unlimited and even before. Until now the model to sheet tools have put me off but I feel it's time to give them a chance. Sorry if this is a stupid question, is there a way to resize the borders of the sheet after creation? I seem to be stuck with the size I chose but drawings have a tendency to grow while you work on them.

Thanks

Claus

Hi Claus,
The model to sheet function has different size sheets, you create your 3d model first and once you have done that you have to select the part you want to output in drawing format.
You activate the model to sheet option, then select the part you want to create a drawing of and then you get the model to sheet dialog box, the sheet size is in the layouts selection.

Hi Claus,
You can move the Borders, Revision and Title Blocks, extend your lines and make the
sheet larger, or I know you already have a lot of work in your drawing, but you can
select your Model, choose a larger sheet for MTS, and Delete the First sheet in Concept
Explorer.

thanks Larry, thats wat I figured. I was hoping for a magic command or some handles to drag to make it easier. I could probably edit the style of the borders and the title block to something more simple that is easy to move around manually.

thanks Craig, this is what I do right now but it does require some planning ahead to figure out the right sheet size. Since I use theese sheets just for overviews to provide with the 3d files I send off I really dont care about the size and prefer a drawing that looks nice with tight borders. Clients print them on A4 printers anyway, fit to page. Still figuring out the right workflow, used to do all this in Adobe Illustrator with the CadTools plugin.

Another couple options

1. You can build your own templates and use them when you do the Model to Sheet.

2. Since you dont know size
Build Model to Sheet
Select all object on the title bar layer - delete
When done drag a new title block in as a symbol all the generic ones are in the Symbols-mechanical-drawing title bars (or you can add your own)
Move and resize as needed - easy to do bc its a symbol.

Great advice, Jason. I'll do just that. And I'll probably suggest to Tim some way to make this more simple. Next problem is export to pdf, which right now requires you to make a custom page size and "print" to pdf file. Unless there is something I missed.
