This crazy idea is an advertising concept for Red Bull.
The idea was to agitate the small Red Bull cans and then pierce them with the launch plate, this would give the impression that the craft is being launched by the pressurised liquid being released.
The real launch system is hidden from view to fool the spectators.
There is a motor in the centre can so that the craft would remain aloft for a short time, the wing and main cans would release foam or liquid, Red Bull really gives you wings!

I reckon the crowd would cheer?

Thanks, that's just an image mapped to a plane, Blender makes it real easy to use images.
