Problem with Attributes: Extents

When I use the Extents in Attributes and BOM, it measures the invisible "bounding box" around the object, so that when the same object is rotated it is no longer the same X-Y-Z dimensions.
What Attribute should i use that can give me both TRUE X-Y-Z dimensions AND volume? (as the furniture I work with has a production cost calculated by cubic meter)
Examples shown here of the problem. Both parts are the exact same dims but when one is rotated you can see its the bounding box that is being measured thereby giving an inaccurate result when measured.
Please help!!!!

Ok I just realized I can use Cutlist Properties. But now I have two problems:
1. How to make the dimension a whole number (right now its got a bunch of decimals and is not the number i inputted)
*Why does it even show up as 509.473 instead of 510? Or 19.990 instead of 20?
2. How to add volume to the same table so I can easily export to a spreadsheet in one go..

1. How to make the dimension a whole number (right now its got a bunch of decimals and is not the number i inputted) You cannot set the number of decimals. On the list for V10 to add. We did make a rounding correction in one of the later 119x builds. 2. How to add volume to the same table so I can easily export to a spreadsheet in one go..
You will need to make a new BOM descriptor file. IE copy the CutList.bom and add Volume attribute. I'll see if I can make an example for you.

Ok thanks Tim - if you show an example I'd really appreciate it. Right now I use a simple formula in excel (numbers actually) to calculate m3 once i've pasted in the cutlist dims and its workable but not ideal.
Also, any idea if V10 will be available by end of this year or possibly sometime early next year?

Put the attached in your BOM folder within the application. Next time you launch you will see a new CutList Volume attribute.
FYI, I created this by coping the the Cutlist.bom and adding in the volume attribute from the MassProps.bom. The xxx.bom files are text edit files.

I hope to know more about v10 dates soon from Encore.

Thanks a bunch for explaining how you did it. Sorry though, I can't find any file to download...?
