This was posted on the Creo website a a just for fun challenge, it looks like a simple part but Shark has a few problems, notably a radius and model to sheet issues with section views. Give it a try and see how you get on.

Yes it was a good challenge, only one of their forum members said they did it but he did not post an image, he said it took him around 20 minutes.
I had all sorts of problems with dimension text and section views, my arrow end points would not stay on the end of their lines and moved to a line on the drawing, some of my dimensions changed to red and a few other things.

Yes I get that too, sometimes.
I never understood why some dimensions are automatically changing color (one or two radii displayed in Red, most of the time)...
It is a very old "bug".

I used the section view tool to create the two sections you see in the bottom left, have a look where the arrow heads are compared to where the section lines are!

Hi Craig,
I asked this question about 4 months ago,
http://forum.punchcad.co...sts&t=7780#post29254
Do you know how to select and edit the text in your drawing
that indicates "Section C-C", without doing a "Flatten View"
Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry,

if I want to change a dimension I replace the # symbol with the desired figure, not sure if that is what you are asking?

How come Mitch's section tool works fine?

Thanks for the reply,
Try and select the "Section C-C" text in the lower left
corner of your drawing.
I can get the section views to work by "Flatten View", but
then you have to enter every dimension manually, if the scale is
other than 1:1
Thanks,
Larry

The text in section view is not selectable Larry, if I want to change the section label I select the section and change the letter, I have changed it to Y in the screenshot.
My workaround for the section problem was to use the same tool but on a different view, it gave me a problem on front view but not top view.

The section name is changed in the Section data box after the section tool is selected.

This is an exaggeration of what I'm trying to edit, without
having to do a 'Flatten View'
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Larry

Uncheck "Draw Name" then add view name as text.

Thank you very much Mitch,
I wish I could have known how to do this 4 months ago
I had a drawing with 5 section views, on a fit to sheet
drawing.
Thanks again,
Larry

Nice tip Mitch, pity it is not directly editable, we should start a workaround thread for all these tips.

Thanks Craig for starting the Creo Challenge thread,
I didn't mean to wander from the original topic, but I'm
thankful that a problem that I was having is now workable,
thanks to you and Mitch.

No worries Larry that's how we learn things and we all learnt something here, the small text has irritated me before but not to the extent that I needed to do something about it.

I'm wondering if it is a bug because the box is greyed out, if it were normal as in the other views then perhaps we could edit the text and adjust the font size as we can on normal views?
