If your TV stopped in the middle of your favourite show, if your brand new car would not run properly, if somebody lied to you and stole your money, if your brand new house started crumbling, if your brand new cooker burnt food most of the time, would you take the Zen approach?

This has never been about bugs, they exist and I have over 240 hours of Beta testing time on V9 and have found many major problems, bugs don't worry me as I squash them with things like the Aston.

The more politically correct this world becomes the worse it gets, by 2020 much of western civilisation will be in turmoil because of lies, incompetence and political correctness, and Zen will have left by the back door.

(Hmmmm, or it may not), sorry but the ship has sailed on that already, the USA and Britain are cesspit’s of incompetence and lies. We have university students rioting over losing basketball games when in the old days they would riot for freedom and equal rights. We have child abuse like you would not believe, we have degreed engineers who think a micron = 10mm and then we have people defrauding customers and nobody does anything about it.

I did get a refund but here's the thing, only after asking and being refused twice and in that time they extorted 240 hours worth of Beta testing out of me.
If you think you know what's gone on between them and myself you are not even close. Nobody takes my money by lying to me, then extorts 240 hours of work out of me and then sends me numerous insults and walks away smiling.

All the V9 users are benefiting from the work I did and I am back on V8 with all of the bugs I submitted still present.
When I was fraudulently sold V9 on that black Friday afternoon I wondered if a group of monkeys had been Beta testing it.
You can trace the programs progression from the build I was sold with the big reports I submitted and these were serious bugs that made the software highly unstable.

I save everything, and I mean everything from insulting emails, to bug reports, to forum threads, to software builds, to hard drives that opened emails with flashing links.

Time is fleeting and my patience is running out.

and don't do save to one file only but do regularly a "Save as" by incrementing a file extension counter as e.g. "xyz.01.sfx" -> "xyz.02.sfx"... sothat saving a model going unnoticedly corrupt but unfortunately does still allow to model further does not squash your complete work.

I regularly use "Save As", because I've been caught out in the past, but I'm with Antoine, Shark FX is the best 3D design software I have access to, and although the user interface has a few quirks, and I don't always know how to do the shortest route to creating a shape, it's flexible enough for my lateral thinking to get around it. It might be bug laden for some users, but V9 works for my limited uses, and only occasionally have I been caught out by a beta bug.

The only area I think that is lacking is "event feedback" almost like a "progress window", as recently I was doing a perforated tube, and by using the linear & rotational array tool, I got a very realistic result. The only down side when I tried to subtract the holes, it took about 20 minutes of the whirling beach ball before it redrew the screen, and I was wondering whether I'd have to Force Quit. Anyway it worked eventually, and I can understand if people think this is a bug or get frustrated, because they've quit in frustration, not knowing it would eventually work.

For the price I paid for ViaCad 2D/3D, I definitely got value for my money. It's true that some bugs are pretty frustrating, but I do feel commitment of the developer. It's not that he doesn't want to fix it, it's more a matter of finding the solution to the problem. And time probably.

Craig, you've been moaning here for months. I would suggest you do start using something else, instead of keep throwing your frustration on this forum and threatening to switch applications. If you don't like the software, please move on. I don't like it by times, but I love it more. If you have problems with the software, complain directly to the developer/company and sort things out with them. I'm sure they rather give you your money back than you keep on badmouthing the software on this forum. And I think you'll find out that the grass isn't greener on the other side.
