Hi All

On 12-31-2015 I purchased Power Pack 3D for my installed ViaCAD Pro v9 (Version 9.0.4 Build 1166). ViaCAD Pro v9 was originally installed on Win 8.1 which was later upgraded to Win 10 (64 bit). Everething was running fine on the new OS. Installing Power Pack 3D on Win 10 was no problem. The powerpack.ini file was successfully installed inside the following folder:

C:\ProgrammData\Application Data\Punch!
I can see the regkey when openning the ini-file with with the Editor

When searching for the ini-file furthermore I can find the following links:

Most recently used: C:\User\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows
Recent C:\User\Username
Recent C:\Windows.old\User\Username

When starting ViaCAD Pro v9 in the file menu there is an idication of the Power Pack 3D with an "about" and "activation" option. After clicking the activation button the following message appears "PowerPack license not found. Please see the Power Pack About menu item for information" The letter is the link to the punch web side, with no further solution.

In the meantime the support team was contacted two times by mail with no response at this time. It's a shame because ViaCAD is from my point of view a very nice application (I'm working since ViaCAD V8 and use it for model rocketry)

This is the first time that I post a topic in a forum.

Any help is very welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Greetings from Germany

Hello,
I have the same issue here. I bought ViaCAD 9 Pro with Powerpack (German) at Amazon.de as Download. I can't activate the powerpack in the presettings menue. But I see a licence ini-File. Do I have to copy this ini-file to an other place?

Regards
Markus

Hi Markus,
What I had to do might also work for you. If you rename your license ini file, and open ViaCad it will think it is a Demo Version.
Enter your new registration information, and activate, close the program and when you reopen ViaCAD the PowerPack should be there.
This is what I had to do.

Hello,
I contacted the encore support. They told me to move the powerpack ini-file in the (missing)powerpack folder > C:/program data/punch!/Powerpack (Windows 7).
That was all. Now I'm going "powerpro"!

The best fix is to simply move the entire Powerpack folder, and its contents, into the Punch! folder that sits in the Programdata.

So instead of the installed path of C:/programdata/applciation support/Punch! we want the Powerpack folder and the .ini file that is inside to be sitting in c:/programdata/punch! (as Kartoffel indicated)

This will work for all builds of Windows, not just 7.
