any thoughts on what's going on or what I'm doing incorrectly??

after cutting three surfaces with an infinite plane, joining the spline segments with the "Join Tool", connecting all of the lines with the "Connect Tool", the "Verify Area Tool" is saying it can't find a closed profile with NO hints on what its problem is............

HI Art

It looks like there are very small gaps with the lines. To identify the gaps you can:

1) Using PowerPack Select the Verify : Show Gaps tool
2) Without PowerPack: Create a Cover Surface (it will show the gaps)

To fix the gaps use the Connect Tool. The Join Curve tool will smooth around the corner providing an incorrect area measure.
