Can some one please explain why JPG imports into ViaCad vary in resolution. Why for instance graphic that are perfectly sharp in a graphic app become unreadably fuzzy when imported?

Hi Bill

When imported it converts the jpg into an OpenGL texture that is displayable in 3D. OpenGL has a max size it can handle, based on the board. It may be you are seeing a high res image scaled down into the max size of the board.

To confirm this is the issue you are seeing, turn off Enable OpenGL in View: Shade Options.

Thanks Tim

There isn't an Enable OpenGL in my View: Shade Options. However I closed down Safari and a couple of other programs and managed to get an import that is sharp enough for what I want.

I can see that this is going to be an interesting one to remember.
