Have run into an issue that search has not shown. Running WIN10 64 bit system with ViaCad 2D3D 9 build 1184. I have been creating a separate layer for imported JPG image that is being used to overlay new CAD geometry. Doing this in 2D mode. Process as follows:
#1 Create scanned image that is saved as JPG.
#2 Import JPG into layer "Original" and scale to correct size.
#3 Go to "Layer1" and overlay geometry on scanned image.
#4 Save as VC3 file.

When going back to these files to do some checks several days later I find in all files that the scanned image was not saved with the file. I have tried creating a test file and do not have this issue.

Has anyone run into this? I really need to retain these files with the JPG image layer. I have also highlighted all images in all layers just to see if it is hidden and it is not there.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Also any tentative release dates on Version 10?

Thank you,

Chris Williams

Hi Chris

Could you attach or email me the file with the jpeg? I save jpegs with my files frequently.

Encore is getting ready for release this week. Development is providing final installers.

The toggle for scale with view is reversed on an image added to file in PC version. If you have it checked it does not scale pic with view but unchecked it does.

Thanks
