Thanks Antoine, it looks really great !
Up to now I hated the desktop machines (because of their crappy output), but I think I'll buy this one.
I need a lot of HD SLAs...

yes and it's 24 microns!

I tested the app, it is really easy and very ergonomic.

The resin quality is the key point.
Most of the time I use epoxy because it's very accurate (with 16micron layers) and easy to polish, but it's sensitive to heat (deforms like chocolate in summer)

Formlabs doesn't say much about their "Acrylate" resin...

Pure mechanical properties means nothing if it's hyper-sensitive to heat or to humidity.

3DSystems have a current suit accusing Formlabs of infringing their patents. Perhaps even more scarily, they've also launched against Kickstarter for "facilitating" the infringement. DMCA-copyright-style treatment of patent law will chill innovation, and it's pretty depressing when credible patent-holders choose to become trolls when their own patents expire. All credit to 3DS and Charles Hull for coming up with additive RP and the .stl file format, but their original patents date back to the mid 1980s. Patent law supposedly precludes dependent subsidiaries if they have no innovative use except concurrently with the original device. Patents that are subsidiary to the original shouldn't have been granted. The notion of roping Kickstarter in for facilitation is apalling. If a patent infringement occurs and the respondent is liable, fair enough, but this notion is like going after their venture capital financiers or banks as well. If 3DS' suit against Kickstarter is successful, no-one will risk funding innovation at all. Kickstarter ought to approach other venture capitalists and banks to make this a test case.
