I am wondering if there is a way to change the default file opening directory in ViaCAD Pro V8 or V9 on the Mac platform. Overtime I hit file open the default directory is my "document" directory. I have set up a different file folder for my ViaCAD drawings and I would like to set the folder as default. Thanks in advance

what version of macOS do you have? for me (on macOS 10.9 and viacad pro 8) it shows me the last used directory on a file open. if this doesn't work for you, try to place an alias of your preferred directory in the "documents" folder.

Thank you. I am using MacOS 10.10.5 Yosemite. My ViaCAD Pro 9 will let me open from the last used directory. However Pro 8 will default me back to "document" every time I hit file open. The reason I am using Pro 8 is because of a glitch in the Snap command in Pro 9. If I group something together I lose the ability to snap to the grouped object. I am not familiar with how to place an alias in my preferred directory in the document folder. Any tips?
