I seem to have the same problem with my resently purchased Viacad Pro 10. My mac has MacOS version 10.12.6. Saving did work originally but then started to freeze. This does not seem to be a permission problem and unfortunately does make the application totally unusable. When I run Viacad from the shell prompt and immediately try to save an empty drawing I get the following stack trace:

Would it be possible for you to download the 1351 beta and see if the issue remains? The beta does not overwrite your Mac App Store build and is fully functional.
http://www.masterviacad.com/beta/beta.php This will tell me it is related to Apple's sandboxing of the Mac App Store app (and not a local file system issue) as there are not many changes between 1350 and 1351. Plus I can have tech support send you a non app store build until we figure out what is going on.
Also, what is the local language of you Mac? Is it set to English, Japanese, Italian, German, or French?

Hi there. I had the same see earlier and I thought I solved it but it feezes again.
So reassign Permissions hasn't solved the problem
It best works with no WLAN so I can save 80% then 20% crashes.
When I'm online it freezes about 80% and I'm loosing work.
My actual workaround:
Open Existing File and Save File. When it freezes restart. (freeze more often with online turnend on and less offine)
Then when this save did work it normaly can save (but not save as) the file with 95% sucess rate and 5% freezes.
Hope this might give a clue to this persisting problem.
I now mad a youtube Video to see.... This happens very often and destroys work. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Tim,
Like the other folks in this thread, I'm using ViaCAD Pro 10 purchased from the macOS App store, and regularly getting the "NSInternalInconsistencyException 'unexpected class type for sandbox extension string!' message" log message when the freeze occurs.
Although I'm not consistently successful with this approach, I find that if I regularly change the destination folder I'm saving into that the 'freezes during save' problem occurs less frequently.
A search online for the NSInternalInconsistencyException log message turned up a discussion on github about [what appears to be] the same problem: freeze during save
https://github.com/HappenApps/Quiver/issues/461 Although the last two comments in the github discussion fit what I've experienced and fit the work around (that sometimes) works for me, I'll err on the side of caution and not simply copy/paste text from another website into this thread. But, please do take a look at the last two comments and see if they're helpful.

After turning off 'Save Preview Image' I haven't had the 'File Save Freeze' problem.
