Tutorial request: Coffee Bag modeling

Hi, could someone please post a tutorial how to go about modeling a Coffee Bag like this one in either VC or Shark?
I don't know where to begin.. subdivision perhaps??
Coffee Bag rendering *even verbal instructions if you don't have the time to make a video. Main thing is I want to know how to model it to have the slightly irregular (not completely smooth) surface look.

Hi, I did something similar. I used the subdivision modeling. Theoretically, you can use skin surfaces too. But I do not think that for organic objects it is the best solution.
In addition, viaCAD's subdivision can be processed in another subdiv software. For example, you can bit improve it with a displacement brush or same. ;)

Thank you and nice work!! A displacement brush (or something to "paint" with) is something I would like VC/Shark to have implemented in the future if possible.
I came up with this as a test.. but am having some difficulty resolving the corner as shown. Its too sharp and looks terrible..
Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

VC/Shark are still a CAD modeler. I do not think that he will ever get the diplacement brushes. But it is quite obvious that the improvement of the basic subdivision tools is necessary. Quite often VC adds improperly loops. It is likely that your artifact is the result of an incorrect mesh. It is likely that loop somewhere interrupted.
Perhaps it is a more commonplace reason. Increase subdivision level to 3. 3 is the most optimal preview level.
I can not say more precisely. I can see only your images. ;)
Usually I create with VC a correct size basic mesh and exporting this with a 0 subdivision level to OBJ. Then I work with this OBJ in a traditional subdiv software. If necessary, I send it back to VC.

Thanks again – by the way, are the tools in Powerpack and Powerpack Pro useful for SubD modeling?

Yes, definitely. It is very useful. There is advanced select control(edges for axample), many additional useful features(add/split/delete facetes, close sims/holes, flip normals etc..).
The truth is that it does not always work as I wish. :) But in most cases it helps a lot.
Below, for example, rapid extrusion of selected edges.

Thanks! I was mistakenly under the impression that its tools were only for 3D printing. I will give it a closer look. SubD is a new to me. Most of my work has been up until recently only in solid modeling. Subdivision is nice for organic shapes FAST!!!
