As a recently started company i'm looking for a decent comfortable 3D cad program.
During this selection i'm also looking at Via-Cad pro and/or Sharc-cad. Could anyone tell me if both program's are still alive and that updates are still being worked on? If so can I expect that at some point a sheet metal functions is going to be build in?

For some reason the [email protected] email address of punchcad wasn't working.

Thanks in advance.

As of now, there's at least an Unfold tool in Powerpack for VC and Shark. Can't recall if its Pro or not... Lots of people have requested sheet metal tools. One can only hope..

Hello

Yes new versions and updates are continuously being made to the programs. The decision to add new features is made by the company and developers and as a user forum, we would not have specific info on when and what features are being added.

You can submit a request at :

http://www.punchcadlabs.com/page10/page10.php

Dedicated Sheet metal tools are very specific and have been requested but either there is not enough demand or other features and requests get a higher priority when the decision time comes.

If you have any other questions please ask, and you can download a trial if you want to test drive the features.

Regards

Jason
