Ah ha, that's what I thought. Zoom out and left click drag a rectangle select around the screen and this happens! So there is something there, but I cannot for the life of me get it to show. I've changed the colour, point weight, shown points, hidden points you name it and I can only see it when I select it all.

Now I get it when I set to TOP-View and the frame to pull is more than 10x of my workplan.
May caused by the dimensons of the object: round about 2 x 2 x 2 meters

But I can do nothing with it, always when I tried anything it becomes unvisible. From what it is coming, a scanner?
Also I miss some pull-out-menues like you have shown. I know I have seen them on my Workplane, but for the moment I have no idea how to recall them.

Oh crap it shouldn't be that big ( I hadn't checked the size of it), the thing is from a laser scanner, and the object is about 2 diameter! I posted something a while ago about ply files, as I couldn't load in the one direct from the scanner, so this has been converted in Mesh lab to an ASCii ply file and brought in. @Tim said he was sure we could load BIN ply files but when I try the screen stays blank, and when I click somewhere a get a windows 'ding' as though there is a menu open somewhere and I have to bomb the session out using task manager!

Which menus are you looking at?

Yeah you can see with the attached text document how big it is, and you're right it's measuring nearly 2 meters!!!!!!! Clearly something going wrong here....

Thanks!
I don't use this option but I put parts to different layers and switch on / off the visibility in Concept Explorer.

No worries. So I've been trying all sorts to get this to display and still nothing. And you are correct for some reason it comes in absolutely massive! Anybody any ideas?

Hello

When I open the ply file the header says that there is only 1 element face that I do not understand. What is the object does it have more than once face? This might be why this is not displaying correctly.

Hi, Yes I see that as well, and don't really understand but this is a ply point cloud, which I thought ViaCAD Pro imports? As there are functions in the to compare surfaces to point clouds?
What I'm seeing is two lots of issues, it's somehow multiplying the size of it, and it won't display. They are a series of points, that's all. I haven't meshed the points before bringing it in.

Cheers
