Morning,

Upgraded to Shark yesterday, not gone 'pro' yet but hopefully in the near future. I have ViaCAD 10 Pro, and have the thread feature. Do I need Shark Pro in order to get the thread feature? Or is there a power pack pro for Shark? I can't remember what I did for ViaCAD now, but I have a power pack, and a power pack pro add on file.

Cheers

I think that's the latest stable build

You should perhaps use that for serious work

If you're brave - b1365 'WIP' (or thereabouts) should be available from Punchcadlabs.com

Not powerpack pro? Does Shark have powerpack pro? I have powerpack, with all the print options, verify options and subd to nurb and all this, but no thread! I did a thread in ViaCAD and fetched it in to Shark and it labelled it as a 'Unknown Feature'

i think it is in powerpack pro.

in the official "manual" pages it is not included:

http://masterviacad.com/...ackPro/powerpackpro.html

Cheers, so my ViaCAD looks like that as I have pro power pack there, but my Shark, with powerpack, shows everything but the thread.

How do I buy power pack pro for Shark? The links to

buy show a 404 error, and the other link means I need to make some international calls.....

Cheers

The 'latest version' thing is the build okayed by the current owners (Broderbund, I think I recall) QC, while use of the beta versions are implicit acceptance that the user carries the can if things go pear-shaped.

Cheers Muray,

Something can't be right. I've done a load of googling and 1335 seems to be the latest build, but just have the thread option. Although the install file I got given, wasn't Shark, and then another to install powerpack, it was just one link and it installed it all including powerpack

Cheers

Go to Masterviacad beta page, enter your details for Shark (I've got Shark Pro and VC Pro, I did it twice but I think I got response for both in one), you're sent links for the downloads. The betas overwrite the existing installs, if you don't like 'em uninstall and reinstall the retails. I haven't installed it yet but I downloaded 1365 Shark pro about two weeks ago. They work as trials if you haven't got paid installs but they don't expire if you have and update your paid installs.

Maybe try PMing Tim on the forum link to enquire about the PP tools?

So, I looked at the VCP PPPro installation that I haven't uprated yet, 1341, doesn't have thread, SharkCAD Pro PPPro does. I'll chase up the download for VCP and see what's up.

Yuh, so the latest build for VCP PPPro is 1366 and thread's there in PowerPack|Modify

Thanks for the update Murray. I have Power Pack Pro for VC Pro 10, but when I bought Shark it just said 'power pack'
http://www.punchcad.com/p-48-Punch-SharkCAD-v10
This is the link where I bought it from, you can see it just says Power Pack.
Whereas for ViaCAD Pro, I got a download file for power pack, then I upgraded to power pack pro and got another download file. Here I only got one which included the power pack. So upon comparing the Shark Power pack to my ViaCAD Pro Power Pack Pro, everything seems the same apart from the thread. I know thread came in a while back on VC.

When I try and go to a page to upgrade to power pack pro for Shark I get the error you can see on the link below.

http://www.masterviacad....erview/page34/index.html

So you hit buy power pack pro for ViaCAD/shark and the link is broken. I have 1354 build on VC Pro with PP Pro and that is fine on the thread front, I think the 1366 is BETA isn't it?

Thanks for all the help and digging for me, I've pinged it to support so hopefully it's a simple fix
Cheers
