Hi All,
I'm trying to bend this wire rope model around an arc. I've tried numerous different ways but can't seem to bottom it. It's as you would expect the end of a wire rope to look as it bends back on itself to be secured. Any help would be great!
I've only put one spiral in as the file size was quite big, so if you just polar duplicate say 3 of them, you should get a pattern of a few which is ready to bend
Cheers

I rotated and copied about the Z axis, if you increase the diameter of the cable slightly 4 rotations
should do it. I did more than was needed and trimmed them.
Just an idea, hope it helps.

Curve Bend Tool should get you on the right track. Will probably
take some experimenting.

Better bending than him!!! :-) It's just confusing when it asks for heights and stuff. So I did a little practice piece. A long round bar, and a curve/arc. Pick the solid, then pick the curve you want to bend it to the shape of. The pick end points on long round bar (start centre point, end centre point), then pick end points of arc (start point of arc, end point of arc), and hey presto! I was thinking the heights where, in my case, the diameter of the bar or something, but after some fiddling I figured it out.
