is there any way to change/adjust the orientation of the font in dimensions? see attached illustration

I don't think there's a way. My first thought is remeasure using the horizontal tool again when doing it from that view, which places it horizontal to that view. It might be upside down however. The alternative is to remove the # from the text box and insert a horizontal text, which give you the option to keep the font horizontal to that view in any rotation on your screen. I wish there was horizontal screen option for dimensions.
