Hi,
I have a part that has to be swept across two different paths and I can not find any way to do it, I even tried a two rail sweep! I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to go about modeling this complex part.
Thanks,
CAD Fan

Hi CAD Fan: First of all you have to take the 2 rail curves, which consist of 3 parts each (straight line+arc+straight line) and transform these into a single curve: go to- Modify/Trim/Join Curve Now you will be able to extrude along these 2 curves, good luck !

Can the radius on the upper 'corner' get bigger ? If so - perhaps you need only follow the (lower) single guide curve (once joined as suggested) If not, you'll get distortion at the corner using these two guides as shown (but maybe that's what you want >?)

When you do that, the continuity is distorted on the opposite sides of the curve. To keep continuity you have to do it in three sections and join them together. That occurs even with the option feature to maintain height.
Another thing I noticed is that the width between the lines in the lower end is bigger than the other pair in the upper side. I doubt that can be manufactured that way. It appears as if the horizontal portion is to be made smaller. I would think that distance should be the same.
