Hello,
I'm pleased to be a new (non-professional) ViaCAD user.
1. How does one fillet double lines (parallel lines)? (see link)http://ptdesign.ca/viacad/
2. Should I be using the "double line" tool or a different tool to draw this sketch?

I'd be drawing the outside shape, then use the offset line tool, the symbol is a right angled corner with another right angled corner just inside it, think the inner one is red. You select the outer shape, type in the offset value then click inside or outside of the existing shape and it'll put it in.
I use 3d though, but I assume that tool is available in 2d.
To fillet the corners I picked up on something in one of Tim's videos, select the fillet tool, type in the size of fillet, hold shift key down and click near the corner of the two lines and it'll put a fillet in.

Been a user for a long time and I never new about the auto fillet using the shift key. Something new I learned today. Great tip!

An even easier way would be the rounded rectangle feature. Just draw the rounded rectangle (center point round) and then copy/paste the second rectangle and change the dimensions of it. Just make sure it's "center point round" or "3-point round", as their origin is in the middle of the rectangle, so yount don't have to move the second rectangle into another position.
