Hi, I would be pleased to learn the quickest and best way to import VRML to viaCAD/SharkCAD. So far I have used MeshLab. Maybe there is something better? Any 3th software, converting to NURBS or any other way. Thanks.

No idea what your criteria are for better, but FreeCAD can import VRML, manipulate and convert it, Win and Mac. No conversion to nurbs or retopology.

Thanks for the information! VRML is mesh data and not native CAD data. Therefore, my criterion is to quickly and easily recreate the surfaces into viaCAD/Shark native data.

Converting a mesh or subdivision shape into NURB surfaces isn't a native Shark or ViaCAD function, nor is importing VRML. You could convert VRML to obj with FreeCAD or MeshLab, which will still be a faceted object, but converting to NURBS surfaces is a function of PowerPackPro plug-in. Even then, meshes have to be quad-dominated, while VRML is a triangle format. OnShape uses the same IntegrityWare algorithms as PowerPackPro, Fusion360 uses T-splines algorithm, and there is another software package that I haven't used at resurf3D.com. It claims to be useful for .stl, also a triangle format, without having to be converted to quad.

Yes, I use PowerPACK Pro. But it works well only with simple forms. More or less complex objects lead PP into a stupor. And I use MeshLab to covert as .obj or .3ds

I did not know that OnShape has it. I just deleted my account. But probably it is only in PRO version.
Resurf3D is a very capricious software. It requires only perfect mesh. Any minor inaccuracies are insurmountable for this program. I'll see what Fusion369 can do.
To save time, I would like one software solution. Sometimes I get for visualize primitive objects from any architectural(or I dont know) software. And I have to spend time to do something more decent. I hate editing 3d models. :)
Thank you @murray!
