In earlier versions of VCP I could import jpg or pdf files and scale them to get approximate measurements for parts or furniture. In the new version they come in as an opaque blue box. Any ideas?

Hello Jim

What version are you using? Mac or PC?

Hmm. I just tried to import a jpg into VCP10 which used to work. Same result. I'm thinking its another screwup with MacOS Catalina. Worst decision I ever made.

I'm running ViaCAD Pro 11 on a Mac, running Mac OS 15.1 (Catalina).

I confirm with Shark pro on Mac : I get an opaque blue box.

Even with the pictures that were imported before, correctly with V11 ---> they are blue-boxed when I re-open the files now.

Please,
can you explain me what a Opac Blue Box is ? (Foto)

I have "only" the problem that I can't use the Arrange-Menu; if I put the picture to the background it is not visible (workbench not transparent) and I can't set in front anymore.
So I have to draw into the picture, overlaying the lines or hide /unhide the picture using layers.

Pic 1 = imported picture not selected
Pic 2 = my scetch
Pic 3 = picture selected, seems like underlay

The complète image is displayed as a blue patch, with nothing in it.
It seems to be a Mac issue.

Thanks,
JL
