This made me laugh. Although I upgraded with less of a discount than this, considering the utter crap that was V11 I was expecting more, I too got this email and I think it's literally 2d/3d, landscaping and something else.

Shark, but non-pro. They've discounted 30% on Pro 12 previously, I took that offer. Or call and harangue them. You're a long-time user, it's not an outrageous giveaway.

I'm wrong, I took 20%.

But is the upgrade from VC pro 11 to VC pro 12 even worth it, especially when you need to buy the add-on features/tools?

There really needs to be some sort of "loyalty" program where long time users get better upgrade discounts. That's a two-way incentive between punch and users, etc.
