The Cutlist in my Viacad is only counting 1 part of each even though I tried arraying the same part as duplicates, copying the parts individually, duplicating the parts as instance and history...nothing is working.

I tried selecting all of the duplicated parts and naming them at the same time. It tags all of them with the same balloon, but it puts a separate tag in the cutlist.

I have the same problem and no solution. I export the BOM and make with Excel a good list.

You dont need to put every part on its Place, you can use the linear duplicate tool to and the software distributes the bars automatically. Then have also all Parts the same name, but the BOM make anyway every single part and sometimes it was working with the same parts in 1 row, but i have no idea in which circumstances this work. Better than a linear duplicate can you not make alot identical parts.

I only have shark 10 installed but I basically right click an open space. Select all solids. Select "cut list" from BOM. Select apply to selected then create the bom and it works ok.

I was using Viacad v10 pro. I exported the v10 file to v9. Opened it with v9. The cut list worked perfectly in v9. Interesting. I was debating on upgrading to the latest viacad. Has anyone had trouble with the cut list in the newer versions?

Thanks.

I did the same process as I say above in version 12 and it works fine. Just make sure the parts are named the same

The BOM needs to be created in the model layer. When you select Model To Sheet include the BOM with the handrail and be sure to uncheck "Ignore Curves, Walls, Text, and Dimensions".

It turns out that v10 had an update. I just applied the update, and now the cutlist works. Yay
