Hello Tim,

I think there is a problem with version French SharkFX for export step ...

Status:

1 - model created with SharkFX
2 - export. stp
3 - import 3DESIGN in CAD
4 -!!! :eek: the model is too small compared to its original size ===> 1:659,85
ex: 68.163 mm ====> 0.1033 mm

Do you think that the French version exports in inches??

thank you

Antoine

Hi Antoine,

VC/Shark exports "Step" to inches only.

Hi Antoine,

The STEP format definition supports storing the data in the geometry native units. The system reading the file should do any conversion based on this unit setting.

Is it possible that your other CAD system is not processing the unit specification?
