Hi,

I am new to this forum, but already using sharkcad since 2018.
There is an issue with sharkcad v14.0.0 Build(1616)

File Error
This file is damaged! Cannot read into appllication
File position: 15297895
File size: 23563049
Filename: xxx.sfx (changed because of customer name)

There are more files with these errors, what can cause this? Is there a workaround for this problem?

Regards,
Mark

Can you try 1620 and let me know if the file reads in. If not, can you send me the file private.

Hi Tim,

I just got this on macOS too. It was caused by me forcing a shutdown of a few open applications, as I lost my mouse cursor.
I just went to open the file from the dropdown menu aka #1 and got this error, the same as the OP.

Obviously SharkCAD (1620) had unsaved changes, and I think the forced shutdown caused the problem.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for your support.
Is there a download link?

When clicking on help -> version, You are running the most current build. No update is necessary
Help -> Upgrade, the complete text is not visible, but then i need to Buy a new version?

Mark

No. You have already v.14. All v. 14 Updates get you for free.
Use the WIP-Builds in the Beta-Forum and not the Update-Function of the Program.

Thanks Tim, build 1621 opened my 85Mb file successfully, that was reporting as damaged before in 1620. :)
