Shark CAD 14 v. 14.4.0 build 1616 (mac-intel, os 10.14. no windows yet, right?)

I've been trying to build a gear, and noticed that it makes the same gear profile no matter how I change the settings. Except when it crashes.

The crash bit first: If I change the pressure angle to anything but 20.0, with any other settings at all, Shark suddenly vanishes (with all the unsaved work)

the gear I've tried to make:

Teeth: 52
Module: 0.8
Pressure angle: 20.0
Clearance: 0.25

Which Shark builds, but not really 'properly' If I make the same gear in Solidworks, GearModeller, FreeCAD-the profiles come out pretty close to each other-and functional, but different from what Shark builds (which isn't really functional as built). Shark's gears don't seem to mesh with themselves (even the default dimensioned one), whereas gears from other software do.

I've attached a file. Am I missing something here, or is the gear generator missing something?

thanks

The Pressure angle was doing a wonky radian to degree calculation which was fixed in 1622.

I've updated your access to the beta forum where you can get a newer build to confirm this corrects your issue.

I DL'd 1623, the crash went away, but the gear got worse (didn't see 1622 available) Doesn't really matter. I have other ways of making gears easily anyway.

I matched a gear from an online gear generator. What units are you using?

Tim

I get the same "ACIS Error" window pop up & I'm using metric millimetres.

if I open a new drawing, PowerPack>Draw>Gear, select the centre, and add @dnns parameters... ACIS error
there is one gear tooth
