@24c Thanks a lot.
My best guess is now that the MidPlane Tool is more or less the reverse function of the "Extrude Mid Plane tool". My hope was that it worked like the MidPlane in Solidworks where two opposing surfaces are used to specify a MidPlane, but this seems not to be the case. Maybe it is intended to be used to simplify bending or unfolding operations for sheet metal?
