I have never gotten a skinned, guided, or lofted surface to work. I know I have tried step by step from tims youtube videos, and still nothing has worked.
can someone tell me like I have never used viacad before how to get a surface from n m curves or guides.

I would be happy with solid too, usually I work in solids. For this case surface seems better, as I can thicken and convert to solid as needed.

thanks so much.

Maybe you can post the M x N curves to figure out your issue if you can. Willing to do a video.

Nope. I was hoping to obtain the M X N curves from Memphis so I can do the video. Tim's video is to par. I've followed and replicated the model on the video. Could be something wrong with the curves if memphis can't get it right.

The video is no longer available. Tim, there used to be a video named dome.MOV from 16 years ago. Maybe you can place it in youtube and link it here. I can't find it. That video showed how to use the net surface.

It was another much older video made like 16 years ago named dome.MOV. It was making a dome shape using the guide cover surface, Guide Skin Surface, and the Net surface arriving to the same dome but with little differences in continuity. That video only shows one command.

Thanks for the link/revisit. It led to my matching the "Rollation" vid. It was a nice memory lane on manual projection. Either because of this video, it by dumb luck, I changed some if my drawing ductwork to compound rectangles and circles/cones for a better look when plain tubes were too plain.

Alao, the multi-rail sweeping/guide/loft/sweep vid revisit made me ponder revisiting some old curves and use the curves evaluation tool (porcupines, as yesterday, I struggled to remember how to get the evaluation lines to appear, and had to search for Tim's response from months ago). I might be able to clean up some previous, failed approaches.

Thanks, you two, for the link.
