I haven't been able to find anything regarding this - I must have missed it somewhere:

When you select, for instance, a single line as a trim entity, is there a tip or trick that allows one to select a group of lines to be trimmed all at once rather than individually selecting them?

Nick recently told me that if you select all entities, then by using the trim tool, you can just knock selected ones out as you wish (a la Solidworks!)

That's actually how I've been using it (selecting all, then clicking each unwanted entity), but I was hoping to do more at once!

You might like to try this work-around.

Select your boundary line. Select 'Segment to Curve' tool; Select all overhanging lines. All overhanging lines are now broken at the boundary line. Perform a 'Right to Left' Selection Fence across the overhanging ends, all overhangs should be highlighted. Now hit the delete key. All overhangs are gone.

FYI: In Rhino, trimming multiple lines is done by using the selection window to 'hit' the bits you wish to remove..similar to how the select tool works thats what we need??

Yes, that would be a very nice option for the tool - dragging a box right-to-left or vice versa would change what is deleted on the side of the selected trim line...

Thanks for pointing this out Alan.....this would be an acceptable way and quick if VC allowed window section when it asks "Select curve to trim to selected curves" then it wouldn't be such a long winded workaround, to me anyway. - Tim ??
