Anyone upgrade to ViaCAD 17 pro or 2d/3d and have any comments on its stability on Mac (Tahoe)? Currently running ViaCAD 14.
Also wondering whether ViaCad is still worth investing time and money going forward. I love using the program , but feel its development is lack luster and sometimes worry about its continued development.

Since V17 seems to be still running in simulation mode (For TurbocadMac anyway), maybe hold off until an Apple Silicon version is released?

I did the upgrade and have no complaints. Like the previous version there is some issues quitting the app, it seems to hang on for a long time, maybe due to cleaning up memory or something. May require a restart from time to time. And on the same subject: Did someone test V17 on MacOS 27?

I had it running on MacOS 26 and in my simple use I have had no problems.
It did crash on closing, disappointing, but, not fatal. Did not crash while using it.
I have been doing 2/3D drawings, not, solids etc.
Just attempted to run on MacOs 27 and the pop-up (Image attached) below appeared.
Loaded Rosetta and TC17 (V17.0.17 - build(1917))loads and seems to 'behave' as before. It is fast, even via Rosetta. It closes 'normally', ie no crashing.

The writing has been on the wall for non-silicon apps since ~2020?
Maybe it is a marketing tactic to delay the release of an AppleSilicon version?

The wall is now here, as in the attached image.

This screen pop-up warning about Rosetta and compatibility is exactly why I am asking about the v17 update/release ( get a generic warning when launching current 14 version). I am worried about performance in v17 and surprised that Punch has not updated its applications to be native Silicone Apps or provided an update on when that release will occur.
