I bought and downloaded v9 today (the $99 version) based on a series of videos I had been watching here:

He is using older versions of the $99 version, specifically v6 and v8. It appears he has a lot more tool options in the left bar like a sphere, cube, and cylinder tool in the 3d tools. V9 has none of those that I see. I also can't expand any of the tools using the little red arrows in the bottom right corners. Am I missing something? Were these removed in the newer version? Is there a setting I need to enable? Thanks in advance for your time.

Clicking and holding on the tool button should expand the flyout toolbar, clicking on the buttons on the palette and dragging them straight out to the right should drag the tool group toolbar into the drawing window. What happens when you do either of these?

You are correct, I was just clicking the corner and not holding or pulling out. Feel like a total moron. Oh well...
I also found the user manual in the help. Thanks for replying. The good news is, after finding all of the tools, the program really is intuitive and easy to use. Was able to turn out some basic 3d models in no time.
