beginner question - 2d sheets (#907)

so this is what I do: -1- generate a 3d model -2- use the automatic sheet generation. with hidden line as 'hidden what I get is that hidden lines are not 'hidden' (=dashed) but continuous and red. I adjust the scale of style but nothing changes. I manually change the options of each view. Nothing. Clearly I am messing something. What do you do to create quickly a 2d sheet with the hidden lines of the object shown as dashed??? Is it possible at all?? thanks Giulio VIACAD 737

just to be more precise: the problem is with surfaces and surfaces+solids. G. PS installing now 7.3.8.

Hello Giulio The term hidden in the drop down menu refers to the line style you wish to use. So if you select hidden then the hidden line style is used which creates a dashed line for all geometry, if you use visible this uses the solid line style. If you do not want to see the line at all then choose ignore. I think it might be helpful if the drop down in M2S were harmonised with Pen:Styles menu so Visible should really be Solid, Object Colour should be Solid (Object Colour) and Hidden should perhaps say Not Shown or Invisible? All the best Nick
