I brought in network surface from Rhino as an IGES in Shark FX and then proceeded to cap the top and bottom with surfaces. I then joined these surfaces to the main body imported and got the message that the object is closed. However, the volume check is greyed out. I'm I missing something here? I added a fillet at the base and then the volume feature was available. GK

Hi Glenn Not sure if you can post the model ? It's not unusual on import to need to verify>check object .. you can use this dialog to ensure your model's integrity whenever you run into an issue Perhaps we should ask Tim if verify object can be made an option on import

Jol, when I imported the file it was not closed, and I new that. I wanted to close it or cap the ends with planar surfaces in Shark and see if I could join the surfaces to make a solid model. Running the software through its paces. I will try to send the file. Right now the server it not accepting it. GK

Glenn, select all the surfaces and stitch to solid. After, volume check gives 28390.5631 cubic mm.

OK, that worked. Thanks. Would be a nice feature in the program to have the volume options in other units without having to change the main units of the model. GK

I absolutely second that, and I guess this should be fairly easy to implement.
Tim?
