Perhaps this is some debugging thing that has never been removed properly?

Simplifying six things to zero sounds like it's doing great justice to its name!

It's saying there are six faces, 3 are NURBS 3 are analytics. It was unable to simplify any of the three NURBS. But its a bit confusing how it is presented.

More complexity about "simplify" :

I open an "old" sfx file of 108.7 Mb size and save it with last version (b823).
It comes down to 41.4 Mb...Fine !

Now, if I select everyting, remove links, simplify object and save again :
1 - I get the stupid message (attached)
2 - It is impossible to save, unless I change something else.
3 - The result file is slightly bigger 42.7 Mb...

May I ask a question ?
- Is it really simplified ?

JL .. are you saying that I can open my old files and resave them to save half my hard disk ?

I tried this and saved almost nothing. If I remove links and then simplify, I can get 114 Mb down to 42 Mb - but then my file is less useful

Yes Jol, some of the files are dramatically reduced by a "save as".
I don't know why.

Maybe they had been saved in the past with "display list" on in prefs...
I switched this off on my main desktop, but my files are sometimes opened and saved on other computers...

Or maybe it's just a good performance from the most recent ACIS ???

It may be JL had some delete pending objects in his file. When you delete stuff they dont actually get purged from the file until you save the file, read it back in, then save again. This is driven by Undo. In Shark V6, we've got some new features regarding this.
