What does 'could not find acceptable sequence of capping faces to trim blend face:Fillet_80020" mean? And how do I fix it? Also, is there a list of error codes and what they all mean anywhere? That would be very helpful.

I think the blend is too big. Make it smaller.

Yes, try to make it smaller, - try elliptic fillet, - try variable by position, - try constant width... ---> but don't forget to save your file before doing that ! ;) It's amazing how sometimes the software can deal with super-complex geometry and fail on a relatively simple one...

I get so many errors of this type, and others like the dreaded ACIS Error "coincident face_face_ints with different body vertices: Union_........" Anyone on this forum using SolidWorks? Does it have all these problems? Easily 90% of my 'design' time is spent trying to work around SharkFX software errors.

I think you should spend a few hours on Tim's tips.
You'll save at least 50% of your time...

Tips & Tricks is great for learning and such (how does a user normally even hear about this document?), but a search in the 06092011 version for: ERROR finds only 1 entry, face_face finds no entries, capping faces finds no entry. Users desperately need an explanation of ERROR messages and instructions as to how to fix them and what caused them. The error messages appear they are only for a software coder's use. This has been requested for many years from faithful users, and never shows up. I have a related question as to vanishing parts. How can this happen? What's the cause? How do you fix?

I tried to make the fillet smaller. I tried the elliptical, Tried everything. Still have the same error message.

Post the file for us to look at, otherwise we're just guessing what the problem might be. Martin.

Yeah i'd like to. But the upload keeps failing. I closed ViaCad completely, and still it fails. The file is only 6.8 mb, well short of the 19 mb max. More error messages, "Upload of file failed".

I am sorry. I zipped it, and I still cannot upload it. I can however upload other files, but not the one I am referring to here. My file is only 6.8MB, and when zipped it is only 3.MB. This is far less than the 19MB it states is allowable for zip and vc3 files. I've sent the file to Tim. Hopefully he can shed some light on both my issues.
