Hi, Tim

It is very useful to know the perimeter of a path of open connected curves, is there a way this could be added as a separate command to find the perimeter of say chain selected items or maybe add this info to the Object Info tab after you chain select some curves?

Currently if you chain select some connected curves it displays the length of each curve but no summary of total perimeter and the verify properties only works on curves that form a closed profile.

If you are working on tubes, pipes or bending brackets or are mating parts its useful to get the length or perimeter of connected curves that you really don't want to join together just to get length.

A separate perimeter command of display for open curves would be really useful.

Thanks

Jason

Jason,

That's a very good point to establish the length of a collection of curves with "chain"........afterall using join would only make a complete mess of them!!:D

Added in Shark V6. The tool will also let you select faces and edges without exploding.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, Tim

This is a excellent tool to have with many uses, glad to see so many features and fixes being added so frequently to the program when you can. Just compare version 5 of Shark and ViaCAD (builds in the 713 range) to version 6.0 and 5.5 (builds to 831...)... :)
You guys have made tremendous amount of changes in a short time frame. :)
It will great to see v6 of Shark!!:)

Regards
