Because of the earlier comment I was working on R12. R2004 works much better, but still not all elements. How big are the files that you import successfully? Art Macintell Shark FX

Art,
that's a good question, because most of my 'big models' are built in Solidworks only. I'm still a "beginner" to Shark/ VC so to speak. So I have yet to build anything substantial as such. For a yardstick, how many parts (or 'size') would you be referring to?

I may be hard to compare. When the files are Shark Native, they are rarely smaller than 25mb sometimes 75mb. If I export them they are something like 125k OK, not quite that small. Perhaps that is my problem. If I exported them, then converted to dxf perhaps they would be small and with extraneous information. Any ideas anyone? Art Macintel Shark FX
