Todd Quinlan wrote: The entire list in which Jol posted back in April, as well as all the bugs y'all have sent to me through the forum or via email has been reported in the bug tracker, as well as emailed directly to the Developers. I can assure y'all that the developers are aware of these issues and are prioritizing the lists to be addressed.
This means that features will be added, a few bugs will be squashed but no UI improvements whatsoever. Given what we have seen so far of V5 the developers just don't appear to care about UI issues anymore. I guess they don't consider the UI as a sale-able feature.
Notice how almost all UI issues are ignored in the beta thread, and only some bugs are addressed.

Let me reiterate how dangerous this is. I had two of the same file open. Unbeknownst to me I had already closed the version I had been working on for a couple of hours. I closed and saved the second file with the same name, it overwrote the file I was working on. All that work gone!
(the other moral of the story is continue to use auto-save, like I did, and remember to check so it doesn't get overwritten)

Have a drawing open. Open a sat or stl file. It opens with the same name as the file that is already open, but in a new window. This could be a big problem. Art Macintel Shark FX
