Finding bugs that fast? Yikes.
I want a solid bug-free v14 for Win10/11.
I am actually willing to upgrade from VC-Pro to SC-Pro, but not willing to buy bugs.

Quick message for "MPSchmied" Your tip to work without the grid has been so awesome. Thankyou so much for that simple tip. I still use the grid quite a bit. But working in open space seems to really work well in ViaCAD. When you mentioned that the software is geometrically 100% accurate. I now see this. The snaps and construction lines are exactly where I want them. Also aligning items is working much better modeling in outer space. Thanks MPS. P.S. I guess you could print your items on paper then unfold them. Origami metal work. That unfold tool does look nice.

Tim, what is the rule for the Unfold Tool ?? Surface without thickness (surface only) ?
Included 3 files
1- ACIS Error with the LampShade-3.sfx (solid part) (Sheet metal has always thickness !!)
2- LampShade.sfx ...looks fair (same area) but the hole are not in the good place.
3- LampShade-2.sfx very good
...the operations took around 6 minutes
File Attachment(s):
LampShade.sfx

Confirmed issue. Your example is a periodic surface (starts and end with same continuity). Checking into... Tim

https://www.punchcad.com/punch-viacad-pro Thought you might want to know that the webpage for viacad v14 gives windows (and Mac) system requirements. I understand that v14 is Mac only at this time.?

It's a common requirements blurb that shows up across v12 too. They didn't mask out Win there.
The Mac specs also seem off. The application supports running on v10.11 "El Capitan" 32 & 64bit from 2015? Does it support Ventura on ARM?
I suspect some cart-before-horse going on.

Why should it support ARM? If so, then Tim Olson should make also a Android-App. Please read what Tim Olson say about the Windows-Version - it is not matter what at time released on the website for the windows version.

Hi Tim, and ***long time***!!! Great to hear from you, and thanks for this update. I’m hoping to go Apple Silicon in the next year or two, so this is good news. Have you heard any word on Spatial and native ARM for the modeling kernel (that you can share)?
Thanks, and all the best!
-Steve

Hey Steve good to hear from you! >>Have you heard any word on Spatial and native ARM for the modeling kernel (that you can share)? Spatial provided us with a build but it was too late to integrate into v14 SP0 as we had an urgent need to get a release out for macOS Ventura. I am planning on a v14 service pack for a universal build (intel/arm). I have a subcontractor working on some of the remaining third party libs. Tim

That is good to hear. Last time I tried to look into which products/kernels were working towards Apple Silicon support, I couldn’t find anything about Spatial/ACIS having it in the works. If it’s almost ready to go into a product, I’m super happy to hear that!
Thanks,
-Steve
