Hi

Has anyone had problems with solids changing colour when you come out of a drawing and open it again later I also get this with lines. things could be a colour and when I return to the drawing its changed to red or black or something else could it be something I am doing I have noticed this in the past.

Regards

Brian

Hi Brian,

it may be due to color assigned layers, if you use that...

On my side I never had solids or lines color change, but very often dimensions turning from blue to red.
Specifically angular and radii dimensions in MTS views.
I keep setting them back to blue and a few days later, they are red again...

No there not colour assigned layers.

What you say is the same for me with solids and some lines I think I am going to copy the solid and replace with the copy to see if there is something in the data of the object.

i will get back with my results

Yes.

This happens all the time especially with more complex files. It has nothing to do with assigned layer colors. It happens to lines and solids and seems completely random. One example is removing a Boolean - one solid might change color but I have never been able to tell why it chooses any particular color. You can draw a profile with all yellow lines - go off and do something else, come back and just one of those lines is another color...
