As the title says the dropdown menu is frozen and can't be closed unless I click a different dropdown menu. I went to save my project via the dropdown menu but it won't let me select anything in the menu and it is completely frozen. I can click on other dropdown menus but can't click on any of these menu options. Also I am unable to close the program and force quit is not working. Hi,
Build 1645 should solve the menu problems on Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1.
I run 1645 (SharkCad) on the same OS on my mac and don't have any menu problems.
WIP build 1645 download link can be requested here:
http://masterviacad.com/beta/beta.php
Kind regards
Danny

Downloaded and installed build 1645 and now it's worse, much worse. Constantly freezing up and I have to force quit the program because ViaCad 14 (not responding). The program is pretty much useless as it keeps freezing and it won't let me save any work.

Hi Don,

I had this issue with macOS and earlier builds, and the workaround before build 1645 was to access the Apple Menu on the right hand corner, and click on something here, which broke the bug. I did use the hot keys Shift Cmd Esc to Force Quit, but it was a nuisance.

After 1645, like @damhave this disappeared for me, and I'm using an external monitor on a MacBook, which might be different to your setup

Have you tried going into ViaCAD's Preferences/Settings and resetting the Defaults on your latest build incase something in your settings has corrupted something? You might have to move your windows and dialog boxes around afterwards

Yea I have tried everything. I'm using a 2019 16gb i7 6 core Intel MBP. Im pretty positive that It's Sonoma causing the issues at this point.

Can you confirm it says 1645 in your about box?

Hi Tim. I had to downgrade to 1616 and so far no issues, but I’ve only used it once since then. I still have the 1645 wip dmg file on my Mac as all the pat updates as a just in case measure. I think this is a Apple issue for the most part.
