I use ViaCAD Pro v12 on an iMac running Big Sur (at work) and a on my new M3 Macbook Pro running Sonoma at home. I just installed this on the MBP.

When I mouse over an object at a corner, or the midpoint, for example, a tooltip appears showing me I'm on that point. However, on the new MBP they don't appear. Is this a preference setting somewhere (if so where, because I couldn't find it last night), or is this a bug with v12 on Sonoma?

Yeah. I'm not at home right now, so this is on the iMac/Big Sur, where things work. but the Snaps window looks the same on my machine running Sonoma at home.

I should note that snaps on the machine where they're not showing up are working. That is, I can grab a corner and snap it to another corner. But when I hover over the corner on the object I want to move, it never shows me that it's grabbing that point.

Hi Perry,
Is "Display Snap Text" enabled in the settings (preferences)?
See screen dump.

It is enabled. I just double checked. this is starting to feel like a bug with v12 on Sonoma...

I think you are right about v12, I don't have other ideas....
I don't observe this problem with SharkCAD v14 (WIP build 1645) on my M3 macbook running Sonoma.
kind regards
Danny.

Thanks. I was hoping to avoid the upgrade, since I really don't need anything more than 12 offers, and it's been reliable for me. But I may have to because that makes it really hard to get anything done.
