I occassionally contribute to Wikipedia, so I thought I'd put up an article about ViaCAD. What I'm interested in is the history of the software, who started it, who were the distributors, when did releases happen, etc. Any information would be welcome, especially information that can be referenced.

It's good! :) It may be worth adding SAT import and export, as well as STL export? The only thing that bothers me is that name Punch. It reminds me of Punch and Judy too much!! I suppose there is nothing to be done about that?

It would be nice to show that for designing ships, a combination of Delftship and Punch! ViaCAD Pro are easier than Rhino 3.0. I tried R3.0 last Friday and over the weekend. While it's not the latest version, it DOES, no pun intended, pack a punch. But, for fairing hulls and just getting stuff done, i felt incredible STRESS. Maybe 3 hours of dinking around was not fair enough, but ViaCAD needs a LOT more exposure for what it can do. If i were more focused and could become prolific at cranking out stuff, i'd be ALL TO HAPPY to contribute hull information. Delftship's hydros software in the free version made (to me) a helluva lot more sense than Rhino 3.0. To be fair to Rhino, there are plugins from Orca3d, but i don't have $2,000 to play around with. So, i'm content to use Delftship to generate the hull, and ViaCAD to do the actual drafting.

Well, if you could provide a link to a project that uses ViaCAD for such purposes, perhaps it could be mentioned.
I'm very enthusiastic about VC, but all information getting into Wikipedia should be neutral and verifiable.

I linked in the product data sheet, but I don't think it's necessary to give a full feature list there.
Maybe you should ask Punch! about that :)
