VCP 6.0.0, patch 856 crashes when i select as a cutting surface a surface or a mesh on which i applied the group command.
I select the trim solid command to begin breaking off a piece of a solid. When i select the trim solid command, it asks for a surface or solid to use for trimming. Since ViaCAD refuses to let me select a mesh, i thought i'd get cute and first "group" a mesh. Well, as soon as i select the "grouped mesh", BAM! VCP just stops working.
After repeating that 2 or 3 times, i decided to copy the mesh into a new file and then closing the original in a hope that getting the file out RAM might lead to a better experience. Even the new file crashes. Repeatable.
After a bit of thinking, i decided to convert the mesh to surfaces and then join the surfaces. I then grouped the joined surfaces. I then hit the Trim Solid command. After clicking on the grouped surface, BAM! CCP crashed.
File Attachment(s):
mesh that if grouped will crash vcp.vcp
