Rotate/Move with Copy with text entry of exact amount? (#4383)

This seems like I'm probably missing something silly.
If a select an object and use the gripper to move, rotate, scale, I can enter in the exact amount in the text box.
However, if I want to move/rotate copy, I cannot.
I have an assembly and am trying to rotate a copy of it 90.
I've included it here.
Basically when it rotates 90 on the center of the axis I should have a perfect grid with the horizontals & verticals aligning neetly :)
Help please ...

Have you tried a simple copy and paste? If you select the parts you want to copy, holding your shift key down, then press command-c then command-v, while the gripper is on, you can then move, rotate whatever. (Don't forget that you can do a rough rotate, by grabbing the rotate handles, then type in the exact angle in the text input box at the top of your screen). You may also want to put you copied parts onto a new layer to escape any later confusion. :) Tom

If you want to do a copy+move, or copy+rotate, by a known and modifiable input amount you are probably better off using the Translate (move) and Rotate tools in combination with the option (copy) key. Both Translate and Rotate allow you to make your movement and then change the result by a numeric value. As long as the parts are selected you can continue to change that value.
To make sure that you are only moving in one axis, use Snaps / Work Plane.
