in the world of certification some work we do now must be done on company computers. every part of it, documenting which computer and so on. Boss men gave me an older fujitsu t tablet/laptop. I can put software on it, buying it out of my pocket - errrr. the machine does not have guts for vcp, Acad 2000 is torture, even for the on the fly stick drawings I need to do. mostly grab rails, stair stringers, and contour plate checks. Familiarity on vc is big deal for me on the need it now work. So, can 2d run on Centrino dou with win 7 32 bit and no memory?

What is your tolerance for pain? What CPU does that have in it? If your PC is that slow, you could try to find an old dos based program. But do you really want to regress that far? Stick with VC. Talk the bosses into buying a cheap laptop. Today's cheap laptops will run circles around what you have! Mike...

my tolerance is fairly low. spoiled with my own workstation laptop. so far the little I have done in the trial vc3 (there is no 2d trial) is ok, if I start up and only run it. Granted nothing fancy or complex on the drawings, just quick contour plates and stick figure safety rail diagrams for layout marking.
